Although less known than neighbouring China and Japan, Korea is a culturally diverse and economically advanced country full of dynamism. Korea is a beautiful county with a history of over 5,000 years. Korea is also rightly proud of its dazzling culture. It possesses 8 UNESCO cultural heritage sites, which compares favourably with any other nation in the world. Building upon incredible post-war economic growth, Korea is the 12th largest economy in the world, and is becoming a powerful focal point of the Asian economic block. It is a global leader in information technology and the home of global enterprises. The people of Korea are very friendly and loving and are excited to try their English.

CLIMATE

The climate is moderate with four seasons. The hottest part of the year is during the rainy season between July and August, and the coldest is December to February. Occasional typhoons bring high winds and floods. Spring and autumn are mild and mainly dry and are generally considered the best times to visit. Required Clothing: - Lightweight cottons and linens are worn during summer, with light- to medium weights in spring and autumn. Medium to heavyweights is advised during the winter.

TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1: INCHEON – ARRIVE SEOUL
Upon arrival at Incheon airport, you will be transferred to your hotel. After check-in the rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Seoul.

Day 2: SEOUL (B, L)
After breakfast, proceed for a full day tour of Seoul city. Start with Gyeongbok Palace which was built in 1394. This is the grandest palace of the Joseon Dynasty and houses the Folklore Museum with its insights into traditional Korean life. Then, visit the Blue House, the President’s residence, followed by Jogyesa Temple, one of the largest Buddhist temples in the city and home to the Jogyejong Buddhist Order. Later you will be transferred to Yongin to enjoy a guided tour of the Korean Folk Village – a living museum that recreates the lifestyle of several centuries ago, or explore the Suwon Hawseong Fortress – one of the most prominent and well-built military structures constructed during the Joseon Dynasty and which is a UNESCO protected site. Evening return to Seoul. Overnight in Seoul.

Day 3: SEOUL / DAEGU / GYEONGJU (B, L)
After breakfast transfer to Dongdaegu by KTX train. The visits starts with a tour of Haeinsa Temple located on Mt. Gaya National Park. The temple is regarded as one of the three great temples of Korea, founded during the third year of King Ae-Jang's reign (802) by two monks. Along with the Tripitaka Koreana and Janggyeongpanjeon, 15 more public treasures and some 200 private treasures are enshrined at Haeinsa Temple, which has been appointed as a universal cultural heritage since 1995 for its cultural heritage and historical remains. In the afternoon, drive to Gyeongju, the spiritual and cultural capital of Korea. The city served as the capital of the Shilla Kingdom, which united the peninsula in AD 676. Designated by UNESCO as one of the world's ten most historic sites, it is known as the "Museum Without Walls". Upon arrival sightseeing tour of Cheomseongdae Observatory – the world’s earliest known existing observatory (7th century), the nearby Anapji Pond, and the Bomun Lake. Overnight in Gyeongju.

Day 4: GYEONGJU / BUSAN (B, L)
After breakfast proceed for a full day tour of Gyeongju which starts with Bulkugsa Temple – one of Korea’s best known temples and a UNESCO World Heritage monument, then proceed to the Seokguram Grotto, one of Asia’s finest Buddhist shrine in South-east Asia. Continue with the National Museum and the Royal Tumuli Park, where ancient Shilla kinds are buried for eternity. Later you will travel by road to Busan and check-in at the hotel. Overnight in Busan.

Day 5: BUSAN / SEOUL (B, L)
After breakfast, full day tour of Busan starting by a stop at Haeundae Beach – one of the most popular places in Korea to spend a summer vacation, followed by popular Busan Tower. Then visit the surprising Jagalchi (Fish) Market and the large International Market selling all kinds of goods. Visit as well the UN Cemetery – the only one in the world managed by the UN and some temples such as Beomeosa Temple. Transfer to the train station and return to Seoul by KTX. Overnight in Seoul.

Day 6: SEOUL / INCHEON - DEPARTURE
After breakfast, free time until your transfer to Incheon Airport for your departure flight
